The much loved Mühlbauer classic "Karl" is a trilby. The narrow-brimmed gentleman’s shape trilby takes its name from the heroine in a novel by English author George du Maurier (around 1890), who wore a hat in this style. This hat is made of a fine, light-weight and light-proof paper fibre weave, "paper panama", so-called because the structure is similar to Panama straw. This hat is lightly crinkled. the brim reinforced with a bendy wire. This piece is decorated with a linen ribbon and knotted bow. Karl is worn by men and women.

This hat is perfect for sunny warm weather. It offers good sun protection and uncomplicated handling. However, avoid exposure to rain or damp.
