The narrow-brimmed gentleman’s hat Prinz Bodo is known as a porkpie, because it is reminiscent of an upside-down pork pie. This hat is made from Panama straw, one of the last hand-woven straw materials in the world. Panama straw is made from the leaf fibres of a palm tree and comes from Ecuador. In the area of the pinch, top front centre of the crown, a type of protective cap has been attached - also made of Panama straw. This should protect the straw from wearing through or breaking. This detail is reminiscent of the protective caps on work boots and refers to the collection’s theme "Sweat", dedicated to the headwear of the manual labourer. For better visibility the protective cap has been edged in a reflective piping. Prinz Bodo is mainly worn by men, but is also much loved by women.

Panama hats are perfect for sunny, warm weather. They do, however, require careful handling: do not bend or fold. Avoid exposure to rain or damp. Store flat.
