The Mühlbauer hat "Sepp Alessio" is a traveller from the "Tracht" series, meaning the traditional Austrian headwear collection. This hat combines shape, colours and stylistic details typical to traditional hats from the alpine region. The special characteristic of this piece is the generous decoration with a variety of cords, braids and ribbons - so-called "Schnüre" (strings). Because of this decorative element this hat is also known as a "Schnürlhut" (string hat). This hat is made of particularly fine rice straw braid. The straw braid is stitched to make a raw hat cone and then steamed to the final hat shape.

This hat is perfect for warm sunny weather. It is robust, but do not fold or bend. Please store flat.
