Base is a cap with a low, rounded crown, rounded visor and a band in the centre back with a fastening allowing size regulation. This cap is made of Loden, a densely woven material with a slightly roughed up surface consisting of extra fine merino pure new wool, made by the renowned Austrian cloth maker Leichtfried. Apart from the M-hatpin it is free from any decoration or logos. Base is worn by men and women.
