This piece is made of Bowensplit, a natural fibre made from the split leaves of the Pandanus palm, grown in South Asia. “Bowen” because it was apparently a British captain Bowen who brought these exotic fibres to Europe. This brim is decorated with its article number and colour code written on by hand.
